The Puhoi Historical Society has a very large collection of photographs of Puhoi - the place, the times, the events and its people.

Progressively these are being digitally scanned and may be viewed on the Records Room Reference Computer. Copies of many of these can be ordered by visitors for private use.

Genealogy.

  

A wealth of genealogical and other information about the Puhoi Pioneers and their descendants has been collected and held.

These records are steadily being computerised. For obvious reasons as an Historical Society, the current emphasis must be on the first four generations taking the original arrivals as the starting point. After allowing for those left behind in Bohemia, five or more generations are involved and as most had large families, this in itself is quite a task but the work is ongoing and steady progress has been made.

Printouts in various formats can often be supplied and visitors to the Puhoi Records Room can order these.

Many families have built up their own records which they are willing to share and the Society can usefully contribute by matching and merging the two sets of information.
The Society has the following circular family trees available for sale. These are not expensive but please enquire about the price as packing and delivery costs vary and additional documentation may be required for despatch overseas.
