The Records Room alongside has a library and reference computer which is available to the public for the study of Puhoi's history, genealogical records and to view the archived photographs.

Visitors on occasions may be able to select and order copies of photographs and genealogical charts.

The museum is housed in the historic Convent School and displays many exhibits - photographs, models, historic tools and equipment, household items, clothing etc. and there is an impressive scale model of the village as it was in 1900.

Dance and music were always an important part of their lives and these traditions have been carried on to this day. A dudelsack (central European bagpipe) and other early musical instruments have pride of place. The first fiddle and also the dudelsack that came out on the ‘War Spirit’ in 1863 are in separate private hands.

A small commemorative Heritage Orchard has recently been established behind the Reference Room. It is planted out with trees grafted from stock taken from old surviving Puhoi fruit trees.
